I Wish I Was Making This Up

Crude and surreal and ridiculous and unfortunately, 100% true - I just received the following email from the head of my department. Some background first: due to an increase in workload, our department has had to hire many new employees over the past two years; however, office space and er, accommodations have not increased at the same rate. What I'm trying to say is that there is now ONE bathroom stall and 30 men to compete for it's use. Obviously some kind of breaking point has been reached with our manager so he's taking measures to have a new stall added, and since nothing at this company is a given, he's gathering data to back up the request - more specifically, he's formulating a computer model to calculate statistically how much time (and therefore company money) is wasted waiting for the stall to free up. Really.

Sigh, here's the email:

"In an attempt to resolve wait time at the men's washroom I will appreciate the following information from the men in the department (not mandatory):
- On average, how many times per day you use the stall and how much time you spend at the stall at each time.
- If you can provide same info for urinal use please do.
If you prefer to provide this info without your name you can write the info on paper and put in my mail box.
Thank you."

Engineers.

Yes I answered.
