In brief...
We arrived early. We stood for four hours. We tapped toes and stomped feet and bobbed heads, and I did my best approximation of "dancing" whilst maintaining my sober dignity; I was prompted into doing so with clinical precision (see Tomcat Combat), unbridled enthusiasm and general silliness (see Rich Aucoin), and through arty, blissful cacophony (see Caribou).
The stage was set with two drum kits aligned front and centre - an indication of things to come. Both Rich Aucoin and Caribou ran their sets with dueling, head-to-head drumming, while Tomcat's pummeling percussion only suggested the presence of two drummers. Then: droning keys; looped samples; projection screen psychedelia; feedback; crowd participation; unintelligible lyrics; fuzzy bass; tambourine; dancing hipsters and bouncing bearded chubby guys; local celebs; cramped personal space; and some dude who kept farting in my vicinity.
When we all met up outside - with cramped legs and sweat soaked t-shirts - we all agreed, 'twas fantastic.
EDIT: Here's a much better review with actual Halifax footage: http://noiseography.blogspot.com/2010/06/caribou-paragon-featuring-rich-aucoin.html
