Winter has finally hit, and were it not for the infuriating lack of available wood pellets to feed our rather expensive home heating oil avoidance space heating device (the "pellet stove"), I would be loving it. As my blogging webself has mentioned innumerable times before, I hate the heat of summer and the mush of spring - the cool blustery days spanning Halloween to New Years comprise my most favouritest time of year (minus the Christmas shopping). I don't even mind shoveling my driveway. It is supposed to snow all night and tomorrow morning before turning to rain. We have no plans and season 1 of 30 Rock on DVD. Bring it on.
You know what winter also means? Sweaters. Two-thirds of my office is (are?) wearing sweaters today - most of whom (including me) are sporting that relatively new style with the high neck and the short zipper in the front to enable you to keep your neck warm while still intimidating your co-workers/underlings with your chest hair. And for babies, winter also means that we can outfit our Lydia with all of the sweet toques and skull caps she scored. My five week-old baby is more fashionable than me.
