Face Update

You will be either thrilled or ashamed or completely disinterested to hear that I have committed to growing a beard for the holidays, thereby ensuring that all of our Christmas photos will be awful (much like my summer vacation pix - the last time I made such a commitment). Oh look at me, planning my regrets - it must the engineer in me (the one I've tried so hard to suffocate all these years).

I did, however, shave my neck - otherwise I would look completely un-presentable for work. Apparently, a few dozen straggly hairs under my nose: no problem; but my beautiful wavy black mane of a neck beard: not cool. I guess I'll never understand the finer points of unwritten office etiquette (sigh)... although I probably shouldn't worry, seeing as there is one dude whose belly hangs out the bottom of his strained, stained dress shirt, and another guy who could probably string his nose hairs into a pretty sweet mustache. Okay, those are both the same guy (I didn't want to pick on him).
