The New Routines

Hey all - sorry about the lack of posts of late. My evenings are typically my blog update times, and well, as one might expect, they have been overtaken by much diaper changing, swaying, shushing, bathing, emergency soother locating, sweeping, cleaning, prepping, sitting and breathing. Any free time that finds its way through the above maze of parental and other OCD-related activities is spent catching up on mah sports, idly surfing the internet, reading or snow-shoveling...

Further to that, there hasn't really been much to discuss; Henry is still a remorseless eating/sleeping/shitting machine, still a cuddly, sleep-inducing furnace, still a baby - albeit a rapidly-growing one. His one month weight-in had him at 10 lbs 10 oz, which I'm told is large. He is essentially shredding through his clothes like a pissed little Bruce Banner (aka, The Hulk), but thankfully not the authentic Montreal Canadiens RBK edge wear he got from his Grandfather...

In precocious toddler news: Lydia has added a few new words to her vocabulary, namely "penis", "penis tent", "pee-pee tee-pee", and "scrotum". Yes, baby bath times and change times are educational fun times. I only hope that while at the sitter's and in public these words are used within context, or alternately, at very low volumes.

Terri and I - we have nothing to report. Carry on. Send cookies.
