My eyes - I don't know what is with them, but they have been dry and itchy and swollen and red for most of the summer. My eyelids are bulging and (not to get too graphic) are starting to crack - painful cracks from which little spiders with similarly sore eyeballs are escaping. I suppose it could be some undiagnosed allergy, or this might be the new status quo eye situation for the aging, 33 year old me - unsightly and uncomfortable...
Recently, at Terri's firm recommendation, I have been using some girly, anti-aging eye product stuff on my disfigured face. The result: (a) a prolonged, distinct burning sensation under my eyes, causing them to water and have everyone ask me if I'm "alright"; and (b) a sheen around my eyes that, in certain light, makes it look as if I am wearing a superhero sidekick facemask. Both of these effects are not considered preferable to the alternative, (i.e.) general puffiness and discomfort, and so I am abandoning this treatment, effective immediately.
So: I hereby invite your diagnoses and suggestions for overcoming this crippling handicap. Know that I am very hydrated, I don't smoke, I don't make a habit of driving foreign objects into my eyes, and I have little-to-no shame.
Bring it on. Gracie.

is it stress?
Potentially, but this seems to be more of a summer thing...
