I know some people who are annoying. It's true. I also acknowledge that I am probably annoying to some (or many) people. In the grand scheme of things though, I don't feel any of the individuals on my annoying list are particularity evil, or mean-spirited, or unpleasant enough that I would wish them any specific harm, save for a canker or a paper cut here or there (just 'cuz), and I hope my detractors would feel he same way about me.
On the other hand, there is a special type of person who only seems to exist on a certain television channel, appearing on reality shows dedicated to their chosen profession, a profession that rewards the sleazy and the stuck-up, and has likely been a significant contributor to the recent real estate collapse in the US. I speak of course, of the spoiled, fat-headed, egomaniacal, arrogant, insufferable, puckered-ass, orange-faced, Botox pin cushions of HGTV. Damn them and their ass faces, and their ability to tie a room together with a funky print... then belittle the help and their customers and their viewers. Damn them all.
I do wish these people harm - more specifically, I wish them all complete and utter financial ruin. And maybe a non-lethal-yet-somewhat-debilitating injury or two. May they suffer the dreary drapes and beige plastics of a long-term care facility, dreaming of their dead careers, and potential ways to flip Hope Cottage. Sarah's Trailer?
Harsh? Probably. But these people are awful - all of them - and so undeservedly pompous.
There. Glad to have that off my chest and in writing.
