(Some) Classic Rock Is Okay By Me

I heard The Hip on the radio this morning, specifically "Trickle Down" from Up To Here. It reminded me, almost immediately, of underage drinking, Keith's beer in a can, in questionable company at weekend house parties in Lower East Chezzetcook. Odd (or not, considering my late high school Columbia House-sponsored cassette library)...

Being far enough removed from both my mid-teens obsession with the band, and my late-twenties indifference to their music - it sounded pretty good.

However, this song was immediately followed by the rightfully-forgotten Moist, "Silver", which immediately reminded me of Captain Morgan rum, Shediac mud-pit "concerts", and being tank-worthy drunk. This experience was less enjoyable.

Moral of the story: Downie trumps Usher.
