Some of you may recall an email circulated in my office a while ago from the boss asking for some, er, quantitative information to support the installation of another stall in the men's washroom. Well - success! - as they are currently installing said stall. The only problem is that the construction work required - the drilling through concrete and tile floors, the hammering, the scraping - is deafening, and is expected to continue through tomorrow as well. In the meantime, we have been directed to use the facilities on the production floor (an uncomfortable walk away), and I am battling through the noise with my iPod volume set to Pete Townsend permanent damage levels.
I'm sure it will all be worth it in the end.
