Some Things You Might Find Interesting

- Lydia woke up at 4:00 AM this morning. Then again at 5:30. Wheeee - I'm tired and delirious!

- Last night Terri and I watched the Harry Potter: Order Of The Phoenix movie. While I totally loved the books, it seems that they would be better suited to a television series than a film. With so much material to try and capture, so much ends up being cut from the books (which I don't really mind), and even still, each scene ends up being 20-30 seconds long and designed to relay information about what was glossed over, or to set the stage for whatever unlikely event is about to happen next. Things end up happening so fast that there is little suspense or real concern for the characters. When a main character dies in this movie, you had maybe 3 seconds to process before you were walloped over the head with more action. That said - I still kinda liked it. JK Rowling's secret to success: dress everyone in big comfy sweaters and toques, have them sleep on big feather beds and be eating comfort foods constantly, against a backdrop of gorgeous Scottish(?) scenery and colourful foliage... it certainly had me hooked.

- Also last night - I discovered that Guac-flavoured Doritos are available once again, only this time around you have to stomach half a bag of Haberno flavour as well (it's one of those "collisions" deals). Needless to say, I inhaled most of a bag last night while watching the movie. Perhaps also needless to say, what followed was an uncomfortable couple of hours for everyone in the house. But hey - guac!

- Lydia has learned to wave, which she now does whenever she gets really excited. On Sunday, she was waving at the Baby Einstein puppets on the television, cutely.

- I like stuff.
