Greetings, Cruel World

I am home again today - to preemptively recuperate from the nasty sinus cold I feel coming on. Not that this will keep me from my Frisbee commitments tonight - quite the opposite in fact, as I will be much better rested for this game than had I trudged to work like a sucker. That said, if I wake tomorrow feeling worse than I did this morning, we'll know if I made the right decision.

Hey - this coffee tastes funny. Maybe I should clean the coffee maker - can't remember the last time I did... Easter maybe? Do you guys ever hold on to old worn socks and underwear, just because you're too lazy to throw them away? I do. Maybe I should stop because in the mornings when I'm scrambling to put together an acceptable business casual outfit, I inevitably pick those old socks that are full of holes, and make myself angry at myself, although I sometimes end up wearing them, which makes me feel like a slob, even by maritime Engineer standards. Tony Kornheiser of PTI just Tweeted "I'm exhausted from this deluge of tweeting..." - ha ha. Man, the seagulls in our neighborhood are going apeshit - I wonder what's up. Maybe I'll go check it out.

Thankfully, Lydia just fell asleep for her afternoon nap. It was a little hectic in the homestead for a while there...

I'm tired again.
