Breaking (yawn) news: Lydia has shocked the household by falling asleep nearly instantly, thereby calling into question the need for Dad to be home today. Dad on the other hand, is just happy to not be at work and has been referring to himself in the third person for a few hours now. Actually, up until a few minutes ago, he (I) was actually working his (my) way through the pile of documents he brought home with him. Conversely, Mom is taking advantage of the situation and is heading to the spa to cash in her Mother's Day goodies. Therefore Dad = Mr. Mom for the next few hours. Remember that movie with Michael Keaton? Odd childhood memories - "Mr. Mom" was one of the previews shown for "Return Of The Jedi", which was one of the first movies I saw in the theatre. I don't know how old I was, but definitely under 10. The sinister washer and dryer scene from the preview terrified me.
