Van City

I am in Vancouver, in a hotel room downtown, sandwiched between a loud-ass ice machine on one side and an equally loud-ass street (with an incredible view of North Vancouver) on the other. When it is daylight tomorrow I'll be sure to take a picture. Or two dozen.

Today: work, two (too) rich heavy meals, much aimless wandering/driving to kill time before our flight out, and a nerve-wracking 25 minute flight over the strait in a 16-seat turboprop airplane whose hobbies include suddenly drifting sideways, riding the turbulence like a rodeo king, and slamming down on the runway stupid hard during landings to show it exactly who's boss. I'm sleepy.

Tomorrow: aimless wandering, Stanley Park, window shopping, seeking out photo ops, and taunting Asian gang members.
