Hills, Lulls

Highs:
- It is a good time for new releases on eMusic. I picked up the new Sigur Ros and Mogwai this week, and a new Bon Iver EP comes out next week. Verrry nice (see videos below);
- I picked up the guitar and made a horrible (horrible) racket with some friends for the first time since Lydia escaped from Terri's belly;
- Pellets for pellet stove: found and purchased!
- After some regrettable posted bitchiness from yours truly, the Slow Motion Book Club is alive and kicking... slowly (thanks Greg, Drew, Meat);
- I've been told that CBC Radio Two staples, the Great Lake Swimmers, are coming to Halifax in March. I plan to attend, I do; and
- Having picked up a cheap but somewhat attractive stand from the Superstore, we're finally gonna hook up the loaner plasma screen tv today.

Rock. Romp.

And the lulls:
- Not surprisingly, with the below 20 below temperatures today (not a typo), the pipes on our main level have frozen. I'm stressed as shit that something is going to burst so I have the remaining zones set uncomfortably high and the pellet stove roaring in the hopes that we can thaw that hidden bastard ice chunk;
- Lydia has been a little sick, and not sleeping so great (save for the odd blissful eight-hour stretch), and has been uncharacteristically cranky this week. Stress all around;
- A funeral, and the knotted guilt ball in my stomach for having to miss it (see point above);
- We never did get those Jolie Holland tix, nor the Plants And Animals tix. Boo; and
- Sid got hurt. Shitty.
