- Neil owns, or is majority shareholder in, the Lionel model train company.
- Neil invented the pomegranate.
- Neil used to be really skinny.
- Neil is deathly allergic to tomatoes and mildly allergic to Stephen Stills.
- The Tonight's The Night album was mostly recorded in a series of drunken and drugged out, late night, live-from-the-studio-floor performances. There is also an unreleased version of the album that is more ragged and sloppy than the one that was released, which was augmented with a few live and sober acoustic tracks by the record company.
- When played simultaneously, the RE-AC-TOR album synchs up perfectly with Blade Runner (theatrical release).
- Neil once toured with Sonic Youth, and once played in a band with Rick James.
