80GB of Goodness

So I cracked and picked up a new 80GB iPod on the weekend, and ever since I've been going through all of my dusty old CDs - ripping the ones that are still worth listening to. Mike Watt, Gandharvas, Supergrass, Cowboy Junkies, Mark Lanegan - I haven't listened to these in like forever, and it's good to see that they still hold up. Old favourites like Siamese Dream and De La Soul take me back to high school - riding to the city in my little Civic hatchback, or that big floating tank of a Chev, or the tight quarters of that used red Toyota. Most satisfying however, was ripping two of the first three CDs I ever purchased - Paul's Boutique and Faith No More's The Real Thing, both still awesome. And that third CD - House of Pain... didn't make the cut...
