About that Heroes Season One finale...

Do not read this if you intend on watching Heroes but haven't yet.

Okay, so Terri and I watched the final two episodes of Heroes Season One last night, and while I have been required to overlook a good deal of questionable acting, silly writing and egregious plot holes to enjoy this show, sitting through the finale necessitated me to suspend my disbelief to new "Santa Claus"-like levels. For instance...
  • If Peter can fly, why did he need Nathan to fly him into the stratosphere to explode?
  • If Peter can absorb the powers of others, why can't he travel through time/space like Hiro? Better yet, why didn't he absorb all of Sylar's powers as well?
  • Who's to say that if he were shot in the face by Claire, and subsequently healed, Peter wouldn't explode the next day? or the day after that? etc...
  • Why didn't anyone check that Sylar was dead?
  • And fortheloveofgod why could Sylar react quick enough to stop and re-direct 4 bullets from Parkman, but not to do something about a chubby Japanese guy charging at him with a sword from 20 feet away?!?
Its too bad because on the whole, I really enjoyed the show...

Is one of the characters powers that of a super nerd? If not I have a really good candidate for that role ...
