Travellin' - Day One

Well, we made it to Quebec City. It took us 11 hours, 2 tanks of gas, 3 coffee, 2 tea, 2 chicken wraps, a few packs of raisins, 2 date squares, a bagel, a long iPod playlist, and more CBC Radio One daytime programming than one should be subject to in a single sitting – including a Shelagh Rogers segment on making preserves and a Jian Ghomeshi (douchebag) interview with a reunited Genesis. But we made it.

Highlights? My chicken wrap at Crumbs in Fredericton. Rocking out to Miracle Fortress and REM’s Document (I totally forgot about this album). The odd Quebec home stylings, and plethora of roadside hotel/bar/danseuses. This new-fangled GPS dealy we borrowed for the trip (except for some questionable directions provided in northern New Brunswick, and entering Quebec City)…

Lowlights? See 11 hours of driving. Cow manure and road construction. Jian Ghomeshi (douchebag). Having to make near-hourly piss-stops (j/k)…

So – the B&B looks nice. The weather is great for leisurely strolling and patio dining. I shall report back demain.
